Q

If I bought a template + strategy, can I just run it or should I adjust any settings?

Strategy and template are designed for optimal profit and will be periodically auto-updated. Default settings are balanced and backtested. Feel free to adjust settings but please do so consciously, as different template settings are likely to drastically impact results. Make sure to check our Template Set-Up Guide in the documentation section.

Q

Can I combine Gainscrypt strategies with AI?

This is possible, however may not optimally exploit each strategy as TP, SL or TSL should be tuned according to each strategy. This is not yet possible in CryptoHopper. If you do use an AI, it is recommended to use DCA as back-up and set a trailing stop-loss. When using DCA, only trade against projects that you are comfortable with to potentially hold for a longer time.

Q

Can I combine Gainscrypt strategies with config pools?

It can be beneficial to use separate config pools that run different strategies. As traders/investors we know the importance of spreading risks and therefore also spread risk types. For example, having a daytrade bot but using config pools to run an accumulation strategy separately can be a good way to gradually buy into safe projects while putting your liquidity to use.

Q

Why is my accumulation strategy not in profits (yet)?

If you run an accumulation strategy, you're thinking long-term. On a weekly bases you are accumulating local dips. However, there may be further downside. Make sure you have enough liquidity and your allocated trade-volume is aligned with your personal vision on your portfolio and make sure you DYOR on selected coins.

Q

Why is my daytrading strategy not in profits (yet)?

This can be due to a number of reasons. Strategies are designed to work with corresponding templates. Adjusting these templates (e.g. setting TP, SL or TSL too tight or too loose) can yield much different results. Also, allow some time for the bot to build. If you use a strategy where stop-losses are recommended, bear in mind that if the overall market is choppy and indecisive, the strategy may be performing poorly. However, statistically winrate% and profitrate% should be higher then losses. Please get in touch if still not in profits after a week.
